Founded in 2010, the Marcel Portilla Band has become a powerhouse in Latin rock, blending salsa, merengue, cumbia, reggaeton, bachata, and Latin jazz with a modern edge. Emerging from Charlotte, NC under the mentorship of James Harden, the band quickly gained recognition for its vibrant sound and electrifying performances.
They have toured across the USA, performing at festivals, city concerts, corporate events, and private parties, creating unforgettable experiences. Known for their infectious energy, the band transforms every stage into a celebration of rhythm and culture. With scalable setups from duos to 12‑piece ensembles, they bring Latin music to life for any occasion!
